EVRA HAS NO PREFERENCE FOR MANAGEMENT

 

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has said that he has no team on his mind as regards stepping into management. Patrice Evra has been preparing himself for his new career as a coach and he’s happy to start his coaching career at any club. The ex-Manchester United left-back made this known in an exclusive interview with the Manchester United podcast. According to Patrice Evra, he has no particular team in mind when it comes to taking his first steps into management.

Patrice Evra retired from football last year after a successful career and he has been in the process of getting his UEFA A and B coaching licencessince his retirement form the round leather game. He has been studying for the licences alongside Ashley Cole, a fellow left-back who played for Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League.

Frenchman Patrice Evra has seen a lot of his Manchester United teammates venture into coaching and he’s ready to follow in their footsteps. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was a teammate of Evra at Old Trafford for some seasons and he’s the current Manchester United manager. Another teammate, Ryan Giggs has done a very good job as the Welsh national team boss. Giggs guided the Welsh team to the European Championships next summer. Michael Carrick shared the Manchester United dressing room with Patrice Evra for some years and he’s a first team coach at Manchester United. Michael Carrick was retained as a coach at the club after he ended his playing career two years ago.

Patrice Evra has a strong connection with Manchester United as he spent over eight years wearing the colours of the club. He won ten major trophies at the club including the Champions League title at the end of the 2007/08 season. Evra joined Manchester United from French outfit AS Monaco in January 2006.
